Ambassador Oluyemi Adeniji, Special Representative of the SecrtarAmbassador Oluyemi Adeniji bidding farewell to President Kabbahy General of the United Nations bids His Excellency the President, Alhaji Dr. Ahmad Tejan Kabah, Farewell.

On Friday 1 August 2003 the outgoing head of the United Nations Mission in Sierra Leone and Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ambassador Oluyemi Adeniji, was at the Presidential Lodge to bid farewell to His Excellency the President, Alhaji Dr. Ahmad Tejan Kabbah.

Ambassador Adeniji was, until his appointment as Nigeria's Foreing Minister during the first week of July this year, leader of the United Nations Mission in Sierra Leone that worked very hard to bring about peace in Sierra leone after almost eleven years of war, waged by rebels of the Revolutionary United Front, RUF.

Following his appointment as Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ambassador Adeniji came to Freetown to say goodbye to UNAMSIL and to President Tejan Kabbah and the people of Sierra Leone.

His Excellency the President, the government and people of Sierra Leone wish Ambassador Oluyemi Adeniji good health, long life, prosperity and great success in his new role as Minister of Foreign Affaris of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
