MINISTERIAL APPOINTMENTS It has pleased His Excellency the President, Alhaji Dr Ahmad Tejan Kabbah, to make the following ministerial appointments: 1. Mr George Banda-Thomas is confirmed as Minister of Internal Affairs; 2. Mr Eya Mbayo is nominated Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, and Adviser to the President on Foreign Affairs; 3. Dr Shekou Sesay is nominated Minister of Presidential Affairs; and 4. Mr Sanah B. Marah is nominated Deputy Minister of Finance to replace Mr Foday B.L. Mansaray, who is taking up an important International appointment. With the exception of Mr George Banda-Thomas who has been confirmed as Minister of Internal Affairs, all the other appointments are subject to Parliamentary approval. -END OF STATEMENT- |
