President
Kabbah Receives Church Members

In
another development President Kabbah received
in audience members of the faith, victory and
freedom church in the United States led by Bishop
Harvester Gupta.
Bishop Gupta who was visiting the country for
the third time, commended the President for
the positive developments that have taken place
in the country since his last visit, saying
the world is aware of these developments and
applauds the efforts of the government, and
prayed for the continuing prosperity of the
government and people of Sierra Leone.
President
Kabbah was pleased to welcome the group saying
that with the war over, the country is now in
the process of consolidating the peace and working
to kick start the development process.
He
said one good thing Sierra Leone can boast of
is religious tolerance, highlighting that saying
in this country Muslims and Christians work
and socialise together. He added that during
public functions, prayers are said in both the
Muslim and Christian faith. He said Muslims
and Christians in Sierra Leone believe in one
deity, pointing out that if other countries
around the world would emulate this, then the
world would be a peaceful place.
