July 24th 2004 after participating
in the Africa-wide launch of the UNDP
Human Development Report for 2004
in Nigeria and making a brief stopover
in Monrovia, Liberia.

Kabbah
The newly elected Mayor, Mr. Winstanley
Bankole-Johnson and councillors of
the Freetown City Council have paid
a courtesy call on President Kabbah
to affirm their commitment to co-operate
fully with the central government
in running the affairs of the City
Council and the entire municipality
of Freetown.

Kabbah Returns From African Union
Summit
The President, Alhaji Dr Ahmad Tejan
Kabbah, returned to Freetown Thursday
8th July, 2003 from the Ethiopian
capital, Addis Ababa, where he attended
the Third Ordinary session of The
Assembly Of the African Union.
The President was among over fifty
heads of State, their representatives
and heads of bilateral and multilateral
organisations who graced this year's
summit.

Twenty-One
Tractors
For Food Security Programme
As
bilateral co-operation between Iran
and Sierra Leone strengthens, twenty-one
tractors have been presented to President
Ahmad Tejan Kabbah by the Ambassador
of the Islamic Republic of Iran as part
of his country's contribution to assisting
government in its food security programme.
