In between, I have attended several local and
International Seminars and Workshops on Educational
Administration, Development and Planning including
Seminars on Teacher management Systems.
I was part of the Commonwealth Team that produce
the modules "better school" aimed at
upgrading school needs.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
1970 - Kamakwie Teacher - Wesleyan Secondary
School
1971 - Freetown Principal - Muslim Brotherhood
Secondary School; was founder Principal and developed
the school single-handedly to a Government Recognised
Secondary School.
1979 - Ministry of Education Assistant Secretary
(Students) - was in charge of Scholarships, Students
matters including conflict resolution. Help to
diffuse many student strikes.
1982 - Education Attache' - Sierra Leone Embassy
in the USSR and Eastern Europe. Was in charge
of students welfare, provided link between Educational
Institutions in USSR and other East European Countries
and Ministry of Education; interpreted Sierra
Leone government policy on Education; sought Explanations
from other Educational Institutions for transmission
home.
1984 - Inspector of School (Secondary) - Monitoring,
Supervising and staff Development, Data and Statistical
Collection within the Education System for quality
control.
1987 - Principal Education (Officer Secondary)
Provide direction and Policy initiatives on how
Secondary Education was shaped;
Help in teacher recruitment and training; Developed
curricula; Took part in educational reform.
1993 - Assistant Chief Education Officer in the
exercise of overall control of staff and Programmes;
Supervised a number of divisions within the educational
system.
1995 - Chief Education Officer/Director-General
of Education, Principal Adviser to Government
on all Educational matters:
Responsible for quality control, budgetary preparation
and allocation;
Staff development;
Program design;
Link between Ministry of Education and other Local
and International Educational
Bodies/Institution;
